NBA: Senior Director Interactive Sales and Marketing, NYC

: The Senior Director, Interactive Sales & Marketing leads the media sales team to maximize sponsorship/advertising related revenue from the all of the NBA‘s digital touch points and ensures maximum value of inventory (domestic and internationally) by creating and selling innovative programs that positions the NBA as a leading resource for innovative marketing/media solutions in the digital media space.

Major Responsibilities
–Responsible for developing and attaining yearly revenue goals Manage media sales resources to maximize revenue from NBA.com, CRM, wireless, gaming assets (wireless and console), etc. and ensure premium pricing
Identify, prospect and qualify potential new advertising accounts and orchestrate meetings with key decision makers.
–Manage all NBA marketing partner activation across the NBA’s digital assets
–Manage internal and external constituencies to sell and deliver programs partners/ advertisers
–Lead the team with strategic thinking on how to enhance partners’/advertisers’ investment and increase departmental revenues

Required Skills/Knowledge
–Strong management and leadership skills
–Strong presentation skills (writing, verbal)
–Strong negotiation and closing skills
–Strong fluency of entire digital space
–Ability to provide breakthrough thinking and creativity
–CRM: experience valuing, packaging and selling database driven programs (e.g. email campaigns, lead generation programs, ROI based one-to-one marketing programs)
–Ability to manage sales process, creating and managing inter-department teams across the company, interfacing with all levels and areas
–Software: DFA (general knowledge), Web traffic reporting tools, Inventory management software
–Extensive knowledge of online advertising, sponsorships, email marketing, branding, and ROI driven campaign strategies
–Strong Interactive agency contacts and direct client list
–Familiarity with Wireless technology (devices and capabilities, including SMS and MMS, BREW) and latest internet advertising technologies
–Familiarity with international .com sales a plus

Experience Needed:
–5+ years of proven online sales management experience with proven success
–5+ years experience developing and selling integrated programs (TV/.com/print/wireless/CRM/etc.)
–2+ yrs. experience monetizing CRM programs
–Strong time management skills (Developing objectives, allocating resources, managing to timelines, etc.)
Educational Background Required:
–BS/BA degree in relevant field of study
–Online sales and client references required
