Medio Systems, the mobile search startup based out of Seattle, has bought out online ad firm WebRelevance. Medio CEO Brian Lent said the deal will enhance the company’s ability to “target, serve and manage mobile ad campaigns.” For example, Medio customers who perform a mobile search for sports scores could receive offers to buy tickets to the next game.
This is an interesting move on Medio’s part, already moving beyond the search technology and distribution into monetization.
