The mobile music and podcasting startup Melodeo is already churning through its execs: Stan Sorensen, who served as senior director of product management and marketing for the heavily funded mobile content company, left last month. Matt Rowlen, the former VP of corporate development, also recently departed.
Sorenson said that Melodeo, while headed in the right direction, “has a long road ahead of them.” One of the biggest challenges, he said, is educating consumers about the concept of mobile podcasting. The company has changed is business model from delivering music on mobile to podcasts on mobiles.
Melodeo is backed with $9.5 million in financing from Intel, Ignition, Voyager Capital and others.
