Last week at Digital Hollywood, I had a detailed catch-up chat with Shawn Conahan, the CEO and founder of Intercasting Corp, the mobile community startup, whose first application is a mobile blogging/community/social networking application called Rabble. The app has launched on Cingular, Verizon and MetroPCS in U.S., and a number of other carriers worldwide, over the last year.
Shawn is as outspoken as they get in the mobile content industry (read his blog), and has the creds to back up his talk. Before starting this, he was the President of Moviso, the mobile content company sold to InfoSpace, and prior to that he was heading the mobile division at MP3.com.
Among other things, he discussed the rollout of Rabble, how social networking and community develops on the mobile, mobile blogging, the migration of online social networking services to mobiles, the state of the mobile content market, and lots of other points.
