LimeLife Inc., based in Menlo Park, is the leading publisher of mobile content and applications exclusively focused on the women’s market. Our product plan includes entertaining games, compelling content, and lifestyle productivity tools that are designed to make women’s lives easier while on the go.
LimeLife takes a research-driven approach to product development and has conducted proprietary research with women ages 15+ to better understand the experiences they seek in mobile phone applications. Our products are distributed through Verizon, Cingular and Sprint. Our investors include U.S. Venture Partners, Rustic Canyon Partners, i-Hatch Ventures, and Monitor Ventures.
This role requires an innovative thinker who can develop and lead consumer acquisition initiatives in a nascent industry where there are no marketing blueprints. This candidate must also have a passion for staying abreast of industry developments, monitoring consumer adoption trends (from early adopter to early majority), and identifying opportunities for LimeLife to grow a strong and loyal customer base. Candidate must feel very comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
Consumer Marketing Roles & Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility include the following:
– Together with the PR agency, identify and drive initiatives designed to build consumer awareness for the LimeLife brand and products. Manage the primary agency relationship.
– Design, test and execute online and offline customer acquisition programs for each title launched. Measure and optimize the performance of these marketing programs which will lead to the development of a marketing blueprint by product category. Identify and test emerging channels for our target market.
– Develop marketing communications for each product: product description for the carriers, press releases, game reviewers and consumer-facing website.
– For strategic partnerships, work closely with partner marketing teams to design and execute an integrated marketing plan, leveraging LimeLife, partner and carrier channels. Manage ongoing partner relationship.
– Develop strategic promotions across carriers and innovative, word-of-mouth marketing programs.
– Manage the LimeLife website from a design and content perspective so that it becomes a strong branding and sales tool. Identify and recommend functional enhancements that will support sales goals.
– Work with business analyst to identify market opportunities for LimeLife and provide input to the product roadmap development process. This may include new product categories, brand partners, and emerging mobile advertising models.
– Consumer Insight: Based on market research and customers acquired, continue to refine our primary target market and messaging to that segment. Monitor and report on consumer adoption trends. At the product level, organize and manage playability testing.
Qualifications
– 8+ years marketing experience with a strong foundation in all marketing disciplines: customer acquisition, retention, online, offline and PR. Wireless experience a plus.
– Demonstrated ability to manage partner and external agency relationships.
– Strong balance of strategic/analytical skills and creativity. Must be able to identify changing market developments and identify opportunities for LimeLife.
– Results-oriented and demonstrated ability to prioritize objectives, manage multiple initiatives and meet aggressive deadlines. Must thrive in highly dynamic industry.
– Excellent team and collaboration skills.
– MBA strongly preferred
