MSNBC.com: If the buzz is to be believed, Bill Bryant’s Mobile Operandi, which operates a mobile-entertainment Web site called mophone, is reportedly being acquired by an Indiana-based company 3GUpload. An announcement is expected at the CTIA Wireless conference in Las Vegas on April 5, the report further says.
Bryant is Seattle-based technology entrepreneur and investor who was involved in building companies like Qpass, Visio and Loudeye. There are no official comments on the deal yet. Bryant’s mophone and acquirer 3GUpload share similar business models, as both offer mobile content like ring tones, graphics and games and allow users to store mobile content online and share their lists of favorites with friends.
