I had written about SifyMax‘s aggressive content tie-ups in the past too. Looking at the several tie-ups it had recently (Lakme India Fashion Week, India Today Conclave, Union Budget 2006), Sify seems to be betting strongly on content. Maybe it was high time Sify pulled up its socks and created a niche for itself. Content is of course one of its businesses, since the group is also present in the internet access and enterprise businesses.
A recent coup is that SifyMax won the Internet and broadband rights for the geographical territory of India for the live webcast of all seven One Day International matches between India and England. Sify says in a release that it has got tremendous response from its viewers for the India-England ODI in Delhi on March 28.
