BOA: Shari Redstone Wants Current DVD Windows To Stay Open

“Shrinking the windows is bad for business,” Shari Redstone, president of National Amusements and vice chairman of Viacom and CBS, told investors and analysts Thursday, arguing that four or five revenue streams would be condensed into one. Instead, she wants other companies to follow NA’s lead of revamping multiplexes into “community destination centers.”

As MediaDailyNews notes, she’s backed up to some extent by a recent BOA report suggesting that strong theatrical performance and DVD sales growth go hand in hand.
