Business Standard: Arexera Information Technologies, a German company in which India’s Aftek Infosys holds 60 per cent, would soon be launching a customised language-based search engine, Seekport, in Indian, European and Arabic languages.
Its first version will be in Arabic, which is going to be released in May. Indian language versions will be available from end of the year. Another language on the cards this year is the Spanish version, Seekport Espania.
The company also plans to bring in a local strategic investor for the rest 40 per cent of the stake. It seeks to make money from advertisements on its home page and the commission on the B2B or B2C transactions taking place on the website. So, no contextual advertising?
