UK’s Telegraph Group has made some major changes in its online division, including hirings. Julian Samble joins as head of online operations, and Sonia Sudhakar, who takes the role of head of online marketing. Sambles will oversee the implementation and planning of the Telegraph’s new-media products and online development.
Eleanor Barlow will become digital planning manager and research the Telegraph’s digital strategy.
Telegraph appointed former Times Online head Annelies van den Belt as its new media director last year, but has been languishing a bit behind the likes of rival Guardian and Times Online (which hired former FT.com head Zach Leonard recently)…these changes are hopefully a step in kickstarting those efforts.
