Oasys Mobile has released its fourth quarter and full-year 2005 earnings report. Total revenue for the fourth quarter of 2005 increased 16.7% to $1.95 million compared to the same period in 2004, but the net loss increased to $1.82 million compared to $553,000 in Q4 2004. Oasys said this loss reflected the technology and product development costs associated with launching its mobile lifestyle portal last year, as well as increased marketing costs. “Total revenue for the year ended December 31, 2005 increased 51% to approximately $7.79 million, compared to approximately $5.17 million for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2004.”
There are a few things which could improve the companies bottom line — it launched UNO Challenge last year and plans to launch more content based on Mattel’s products. Oasys is also going to launch a white-label service of its portal so that operators can offer their own branded versions.
