Pyramid Research has warned carriers they need to get mobile TV going quickly or risk getting left out of the loop. “With Mobile TV, MNOs have a 12-18 month window of opportunity, an advantage they better not squander with inadequate pricing and quality of service,” comments Nick Holland, Pyramid Research Senior Analyst.
Mobile Network Operators have several advantages with offering mobile TV, including a large and ready subscriber base and a way to charge for the service. “MNOs missed the mobile music boat; clumsiness towards Mobile TV could have a more negative impact.”
