Reliance’s R World Launches In Hindi; To Go Multilingual

Press Release: Reliance Infocomm has introduced R World in Hindi, opening up a huge market for its value added services. The entire click-and-browse user experience is offered in Hindi including the menu and navigation. “This potentially addresses the needs of a large segment of Indian customers, who are comfortable with Hindi language, in what’s the world’s first attempt at providing mobile data offerings in more than one language – all on the same handset,” says a statement.
India has 10 states with Hindi as predominant language and 450 million people speak this language. The software platform that drives R World has been made ready to handle all major Indian languages starting with Hindi and plans are afoot to make R World available in other regional languages as well, the release adds.
