Parenting Social Network Site Minti Gets $1.15 Million Funding

Minti, an Australia-based parenting social network company slightly obsessed about covering its own media/blog mentions, has received $1.15 million in seed funding. It launched about two weeks ago.

Minti provides an online community for parents to both share and rank advice about parenthood. The business focus is global, not just Australia.

After the MySpace brouhaha about child/teen safety, social networks promising to be safe for kids/teens are cropping up out of the woodworks and getting funded.
