NPR: Underwriting Traffic Coordinator, Digital Media, Washington DC

Responsibility for operating the traffic and inventory management systems needed to support NPR‘s Web and other digital media underwriting efforts; helps secure corporate support for NPR’s web site and digital media properties by creating mock-ups of banners for potential sponsors, revising sponsor banners, modifying presentations and providing by creating mock-ups of banners for potential sponsors, revising sponsor banners, modifying presentations and providing web metrics and research need to support the sponsorship effort; advises the Director of Corporate Sponsorship, the Online Underwriting Product Manager, the Digital Media Director of Business Development and National Sales Representatives of inventory management issues. Bachelor’s Degree.

Minimum 1 years of experience in sponsorship of media sales support, with experience in Internet advertising, traffic or sales support preferred; proficiency in HTML; knowledge of JavaScript and Web server technology preferred; a solid knowledge of Web browsers, search engines, and other Web-based software applications is required; ability to understand and explain Web sponsorship trends and technologies is preferred; a solid knowledge of Web traffic metrics; experience working with a Web metrics reporting tool is preferred; experience with online ad serving and management systems preferred; experience in design and Flash preferred; excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills; must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word and other key business software; Computer literacy is essential; detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to effectively handle multiple assignments under tight deadline pressure; ability to work independently with strong initiative and follow-through skills; strong written and oral communications skills; must have excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated job flexibility and be customer service-oriented.
