The Director of Fantasy Products guides a team of Product Managers tasked with the creation and maintenance of CBS SportsLine‘s award-winning Fantasy games and services.

In concert with her staff, the Director will guide and manage the existing product line’s lifecycle strategy to build a growing and enthusiastic base of customers and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Develops a “Product Roadmap” which includes:

—- A competitive analysis assessing a given product’s position in the marketplace.

—- Detailed financial forecasts accounting for all aspects of product lifecycles.

—- A definition and description of metrics for assessing progress.

—- A marketing plan for product promotion and product bundling opportunities.

—- Technical specifications with detailed product requirements for product development.

—- A post-mortem product lifecycle analysis assessing performance.

– Presents proposals and reports back results to interested parties within CBS Digital Media and CBS Corporation.

– Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas within SportsLine including sales, business development, marketing, engineering and operations to develop and provide product definitions, which are responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.

– Seeks and assesses marketplace opportunities for new partners, for building alternative distribution channels and for developing new product opportunities.

– Maintains and enhances relationships with organizations such as: the PGA TOUR, MLBAM, MLB, the NFL and the Fantasy Sports Trade Association.

– Manages staff to align personnel and corporate goals.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages two Product Managers and two site Producers.

Qualifications:

Candidate should have experience with online content or online application development as well as training in or experience with consumer products and product management.

Education/Experience:

Must possess a BA/BS in a related field such as Marketing, Software development, Communications, Engineering or Computer Science. MBA preferred. Experience in sports or sports-related content a plus.
