So I got this one completely wrong…it was Verisign, not Motricity who bought out M-Qube. I should have just sat still and not been led by that Boston Business Journal article last week.
For Verisign, this might mean that it is serious about getting out of mobile content…and hence put Jamba/Jamster on the block. The other way to read this would be that Verisign would use M-qube’s expertise to really ramp up Jamba/Jamster, something I am less prone to believing at this point.
