Groove Mobile, an Andover, MA-based provider of mobile music downloading services, has raised $8.5 million in second round of funding, according to a regulatory filing, picked up by PE Week Wire. Egan-Managed Capital was joined by return backers Charles River Ventures, Kodiak Venture Partners and SVM Star Ventures Management.
Groove is powering Sprint’s mobile music full track download service in U.S., Bell Canada in Canada, and Orange’s service in U.K.
