Business Standard: India’s largest telco BSNL is searching for content providers. It has issued tenders for content providers for its triple-play service plans in 898 cities across the country. BSNL will provide trilple play service using the Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology. “We are just waiting for tie-ups with content providers to start the services,” said D K Agrawal, CGM, Gujarat circle.
According to Agrawal, the service will be available by December 2006. “We will first try in district head quarters across the country including Gujarat.”
