Following its Pune acquisition last year, Nvidia, a $2.4-billion graphic processor technologies company, is targeting the Indian film industry to offer digital solutions. Nvidia has opened a new design centre in Pune, which follows its acquisition of Pace Soft Silicon (PSS), a five- year-old software product developer in December last year. PSS, set up in 2000, was funded by an Ireland-based VC, and has a US office in Santa Clara. With PSS acquisition, Pune will be the Indian software headquarters for Nvidia, while the hardware operations will be based out of Bangalore centre. The total headcount in India will be 300.
