Animation Xpress: Access Atlantech Technologies (AAT), a digital media education company, and Hyderabad-based Touchriver Pictures will co-produce digital films for multiple platforms including digital theatre, internet, mobile & other home entertainment devices. As part of the arrangement, Touchriver Pictures will handle scripting, direction and the supervision for post-production. AAT will contribute infrastructure and handle distribution, merchandise and publicity for the films.
Touchriver Pictures head, Rajesh Touchriver said, “With over 225 digital theatres in the country and equivalent number coming up, digital films will be the future. I am highly impressed by the strategies and plans of AAT for distribution and Publicity.”
AAT owns media education brands such as SAE College, QANTM College and CGC in India, and was recently in news as Bennett, Coleman & Co had invested in the company. AAT’s CEO Rathish Babu said that they are also looking for independent film makers who could come in with a script and cast, while AAT’s inputs would be post production infrastructure, distribution and marketing of films.
