Nickelodeon : VP, Online and Magazine Promotions Marketing, NYC

The Vice President of Online and Magazine Promotions Marketing must be
an innovative, competitive individual who has an impeccable industry
reputation for delivering compelling marketing promotional opportunities
that support ad sales business goals. Primary responsibilities include
the formulation and implementation of unique, forward-looking marketing
strategies that support the magazine and online business for the
Nickelodeon brands. The individual must be a proven collaborator and
partner to sales and ad sales clients.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Oversee the development of all sales presentations, collateral
materials, proposals, promotional programs and sales events for Nick Jr.
Family Magazine, Nickelodeon Magazine, (no custom pub.) Nick.com,
NickJr.com and other Nick digital and broadband properties.

– Work with sales to identify sales priorities, mesh with programming,
editorial, and online priorities in order to develop an inventory of
saleable marketing.

– Maintain consistent quality of the staff’s writing and presentations.

– Supervise customized and ongoing idea generation.

– Develop and maintain positive relationships by interfacing with key
constituents such as Vice President of Magazine Sales, Vice President of
Online Sales, SVP of Online, programming, editorial, on marketing
opportunities.

– Work closely with internal departments to ensure that ad sales and
marketing’s priorities are being communicated.

– Work closely with clients, be a resource to sales on key client sales
calls.

– Lead and mentor the magazine and online teams.

Desired Qualification/Skills:

BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS

– 10 years experience in a marketing (or related) department within the
entertainment > industry with a specific focus on ad
sales marketing.

– Must have a minimum of 7 years experience in the magazine/publishing
business.

– Must have experience in managing and leading an online team

– Must be knowledgeable in the online industry.

– Cable TV network industry or agency experience is a plus.

– Have managed people and managed a budget.

– Proven examples of strong leadership, organization and writing skills
