Marc Orchant and James Kendrick are back with a discussion about, what else, the Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC).  We look at what they are and how we think they will impact the mobile PC and Tablet PC markets.  UMPCs will be a big impact for mobile professionals and home consumers alike and we express our opinions on what the introduction means for all of us.

Enjoy the show and let us know what you think.

Special thanks to Tiedye Keith for the great song "Vulnerable" with vocals by Tony Lindsay of Santana.

It was so nice to hear a discussion about umpcs sans naysaying. I think most of the people who question the market for a device like this are grossly underestimating the word of mouth factor that will surely kick in once people begin to use and show them off. I’ved used a HTC Universal, and I’m currently pecking this post from a Nokia 770, and I can tell you both purchases were made knowing that what I really wanted was what soon hope to have: Origami. If only I could purchase one by Thursday so I could try Mark’s great idea and watch the NCAA tourney from work via Sling! Oh and one more thing: GO DUKE!

I don’t normally listen to podcasts due to time but just wanted to say I found this quite an interesting discussion.

I’d recommend it to others interested in where mobility is heading with the UMPC
