Siemens has surveyed 5,300 mobile phone users in eight countries (Brazil, Canada, China, Germany, Italy, Russia, South Korea and the United States) to find out what applications would lead them to upgrade their handsets.
“An average 74% of those polled said they wanted to read and send e-mails with their phones while on the run, with most of them placing work-related communication as a priority…Some 59% said they were interested in “mobile TV,” which allowed users to watch standard television or specialized programming prepared for handheld devices…Finally, 62% of the survey respondents said they wanted to pull songs off the Internet via their mobile phones.”
