NBC’s 2006 Digital Revs: $100 Million; iVillage Will Double It

Continuing coverage of the NBC-iVillage deal: NBC already has a Web presence through its interest in MSNBC.com, which it co-owns with Microsoft, along with promotional sites for its TV channels, such as NBC.com. But these sites don’t generate much ad revenue. Without iVillage, NBC’s digital revenue this year would have been barely $100 million, compared with total revenue of $15 billion for NBC Universal. Including iVillage, NBC said its digital revenue will hit $200 million this year and is expected to grow 20% a year going forward.
