Some industry moves of note:
– Universal Pictures: It has hired Doug Neil as senior VP, new media. Neil was most recently served as director, entertainment strategy and sales development for AOL.
– Broadband Enterprises: BE, a company specializing in broadband video sales, syndication and original production, has appointed Danny Fishman as president. Fishman previously was executive VP of sales at IFilm, recently acquired by MTV.
– Adicio: Tony Lee, previously publisher of The Wall Street Journal Online Vertical Network, has been appointed to the newly created positions of chief alliance officer and executive VP of East Coast operations for Web-based classified advertising developer Adicio. The company, called CareerCAst before, powers the classified databases for 300+ media sites and is 40% owned by Dow Jones.
– Navio: Marc Morgenstern has joined Navio as VP of rights holder relations and music. In this role, Marc will work with record labels, music publishers and music distributors that are migrating to Navio’s rights-based commerce model. Most recently, he was CEO of Overpeer, the P2P anti-piracy of Loudeye which was closed down by the company recently.
