Easy Navigation For Hong Kong’s First Mobile TV Service

Hong Kong-based CSL launched a 3G mobile TV service last month, using a nifty navigation system “developed by Golden Dynamic and powered by NMS’s mobile video technology”. From CSL’s press release:
“The newly designed TV interface is easy to use. Customers can access “3G Mobile TV” by simply pressing *888 via a video call, and press the number on the keypad to select the station or press “*” or “#” to switch between stations – just like a TV remote control. One2Free “3G Mobile TV” is charged on time consumption at only HK$1 per minute and no pre-registration is required.”
There’s nine channels corresponding to the first nine numbers. So it’s easy to use, but at $1/min I don’t think it will get much use. Correction: It’s been pointed out that the Hong Kong dollar is equal to about 13 US cents, which is a more reasonable cost.
