Purpose:

The Account Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth from a defined portfolio of accounts within Corbis’ Mobile Devices Business. This role is key to the proactive, service-oriented management of accounts that positions Corbis as the partner of choice for innovative, market-relevant mobile content.

Responsibilities

Market and Sales Execution

– Develop and execute account plans based on revenue forecasts, market positioning, industry trends, company financials, reporting and payment history

– Segment portfolio to ensure that time allocated to partners is commensurate with potential “return on investment”

– Establish, attain and exceed revenue goals for accounts within designated portfolio

– Track revenue against forecast across portfolio on monthly basis, explain variances and take corrective action where appropriate

– Develop and sustain satisfied account relationships through proactive customer service (e.g. feedback on top selling content, assistance in content programming, responses to custom content requests etc.)

– Implement sales programs and strategies and track progress against predefined goals

– Identify opportunities for improving the relative positioning of Corbis content within an Account’s collection of offerings

– Identify opportunities to feature content with partners in novel and innovative ways

– Establish roadmap of offerings with select accounts to ensure Corbis content is front of mind in content programming

– Ensure premium content finds most effective route to market by proactively managing how new offerings are made available to partners

– Visit key accounts with requisite team members, identify unmet needs and follow through on delivery

– Cultivate deep understanding of mobile content market by reviewing market intelligence on an ongoing basis

Internal Corbis Interaction

– Partner closely with Business Development, Content Creation, Operations and Legal teams to ensure coordinated support for accounts in portfolio

– Balance support requested from colleagues with revenue potential of accounts

– Leverage operational systems and processes to track activity (downloads, sales, payments) across accounts in portfolio

– Provide client and market feedback to Content team to ensure ongoing creation and promotion of market relevant content

Qualifications Required:

– 3-5 years experience in an account management/client services role with revenue responsibility and consultative sales experience

– Strong analytical ability to support modeling of revenues and analysis of actual performance against forecast

– Ability to build and execute strategic plans for all accounts in portfolio based on revenue potential and market positioning

– Ability to prioritize portfolio and manage own time (and that of others) to ensure optimal use of resources

– Broad knowledge of cell phone carriers, handset and other mobile devices manufacturers, content aggregators/distributors, issues and players, and understanding of strategic issues related to digital content delivery and the content licensing marketplace is ideal.

– Successful candidate will be confident, articulate, polished, organized, and a self-starter.

– BA / BS degree (desired)

– Command of additional languages a plus

– Requires computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Windows applications

– Must be Internet savvy

– Moderate travel required
