uWink, a restaurant-focused digital entertainment company founded by Nolan Bushnell, founder of Atari, has completed a $1.5 million private placement.
uWink will use the money to fund the opening of its first uWink Bistro in the Westfield Promenade, in Woodland Hills, CA, and for general corporate purposes. It will open this summer.
The company says it has invested more than $10 million over the last 4 years to build its entertainment vending platform, Boxter Bear, and its “Entertainment Systems Network, including SNAP! and the uWink Game Library”.
