Looks like both sides listened to Judge James Spencer’s warning that they wouldn’t like his resolution and finally found a solution. Blackberry-maker RIM will pay patent company NTP $612.5 million dollars to settle the long-running dispute. The settlement includes a licensing agreement for all patents NTP owns and controls — and covers wirelesss carriers, customers and others from NTP’s claims.
