Starbucks Music Chief To Leave: Report

So says NYPost… Don MacKinnon, VP of music and entertainment at Starbucks, is on his way out the door. The impending move comes as Starbucks prepares to move its entertainment business from Seattle to LA. It’s unclear if Ken Lombard, who is president of Starbucks Entertainment, plans to replace MacKinnon.

MacKinnon joined the company in 1999 after Starbucks acquired his company, Hear Music, for a reported $8 million. He was more of an indie-music guy and the story says that Lombard might wants to go in a more commercial way.
