EGT, the Atlanta-based digital video encoding firm, has completed an $8.5 million third round funding. Investors included Noro-Moseley Partners, H.I.G. Capital, Sevin Rosen Funds and others. The financing will support operational growth and international expansion. The funding will also speed new product delivery for IPTV.
EGT equipment enables cable, telco and satellite network operators the ability to deliver more TV channels over their existing networks at a higher quality than competitive offerings.
