Cricinfo Launches Fantasy League Game On India Vs England Cricket Series

Press Release: Cricinfo has launched Fantasy League game around India Vs England Test and One Day series. This basically means Duncan Fletcher and Greg Chappell’s team selections for the India v England Test and One-Day series will come under scrutiny from thousands of would-be coaches around the world taking part in Cricinfo’s new online Fantasy League game
The leading cricket website has joined forces with Fantasy League Ltd, the inventors of fantasy football, to launch the new fantasy cricket game, which offers prizes worth more than $17,500. The fund includes fantastic prizes topped by $8,750 in cash and free use of a hospitality suite for 16 people at this summer’s England v Sri Lanka Test at Lord’s.
How it works
Coaches select a team of 11 players with the aim of maximising their points tally based on performances during the three Test and seven ODI series. But tactics will need to be carefully planned as the player contract budget is restricted to one million fantasy Rupees for the whole team.
Once play is underway in the first Test in Nagpur on 1st March, coaches will be able to follow their side’s fortunes and see fantasy points being updated every five minutes, thanks to Cricinfo’s live scores and statistics feed, which powers the game.
