NeoMedia is on a tear, though the company’s press releases seem very presumptive (it is just an LOI for the acquisition, after all): it is planning to buy HipCricket, an Essex, Connecticut-based provider of mobile marketing solutions to broadcasters and brand marketers. The price: a total of $4.5 million in cash and shares of NeoMedia common stock, including interest-bearing bridge loans to HipCricket of $500,000.
HipCricket says it works with 5 of the top 10 radio groups in the country, as well as with some 40 major brand marketers.
In the last few weeks NeoMedia has acquired Mobot and 12Snap.
