Industry Moves: Turner; MySpace; JibJab

Some industry moves of note:

Eckoff Joins Turner As VP, New Products: David Eckoff who was at RealNetworks the past four years and who has been an occasional contributor to this site, has joined Turner Broadcasting as VP, New Products. He’ll be responsible for overseeing the development, evaluation and launch of new products for Turner’s recently formed New Products Group.

Shawn Gold As SVP, Marketing, MySpace: Shawn Gold, formerly the advertising head at Weblogs Inc (bought by AOL) has left and joined MySpace, as SVP, Head of Marketing & Content. He explains it well on his blog: “It is the perfect solution, now I have a job where I can hang out on all day and not get fired. I can be an amateur cultural anthropologist by helping to define and shape the brand of, arguably, the biggest cultural phenomenon this century.”

JibJab Hires VP, Animation: Emmy-nominated animation producer Aaron Simpson has joined digital studio JibJab as VP animation production and development. Along with overseeing animation, Simpson will supervise Internet and mobile ventures.
