Reporting to the Director of Strategic Analysis, the Senior Web Metrics Analyst will be responsible for reporting and analyzing web site data as it relates to product, content, advertising and marketing. This position will be responsible for the evaluation of internal/external data sources, joint development of sound business cases with key stakeholders, and presentation of key findings and trends.
Duties:
– Define and measure key metrics related to business performance and marketing campaigns. Includes heavy use of Omniture, Media Metrix, Nielsen NetRatings and other similar products.
– Provide research, analysis and formal reporting in support of developing business initiatives. Assist in evaluating the quantitative benefits of new business initiatives by having a thorough understanding of online customer behaviors.
– Using Site Catalyst toolset, analyze web site performance and trends, click stream path analysis, retention, and customer life time value.
– Lead support role of Site Catalyst toolset for strategic sites. Educate and promote Site Catalyst user base. User base includes interactions with Editorial, Technology, Consumer Marketing, Sales, Marketing Research and Web Design.
– Participate in site re-designs and enhancements as a measurements expert, identifying reporting requirements, monitoring the reporting implementation and evaluating post-launch forecasts against actuals.
– Evaluate the impact of changing business strategies against current tracking mechanisms.
– Maintain superior service to internal clients.
Qualifications:
– BS in Marketing Analytics, Business or Computer Information Systems.
– 4+ years of consumer data analytics and analytical reporting.
– 3+ years of experience in web analytics.
– Strong skills using Omniture (Site Catalyst), Media Metrix and Excel preferred.
– Experience in business case development.
– Basic technical, design and marketing skills as it relates to web analytics.
– Independent thinker. Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
