NeoMedia Technologies, a mobile info services firm has bought out 12snap AG, a Munich-based mobile marketing and entertainment applications firm. The price: $22 million. This is NeoMedia’s first Euroean acquisition. It recently acquired U.S. based Mobot.
Founded in 1999, 12snap has 75 employees at its offices in New York, London, Milan, Vienna and Stockholm, as well as Dusseldorf and Munich, and a technical development center in Romania. It has clients like Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Unilever, Vodafone, adidas and Kellogg’s.
Its previous investors included Apax Partners, Argo Global Capital and BlueRun Ventures (formerly Nokia Venture Partners).
