Napster Gets a Mobile Customer, Finally

It took better part of a year, but Napster finally found a customers for its mobile music service, to a regional carrier in U.S.: SunCom Wireless, an operator for North and South Carolina, Georgia, parts of Tennessee and Virginia, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, has won a contract with Ericsson to provide Napster service direct to handsets.
It will be a dual delivery service both on mobile and PCs…last year Napster tied up with Ericcson to develop its mobile service. Napster Mobile is Ericsson’s hosted music service featuring Napster’s catalogue of artist images, ring tones and full-length songs. Pricing packages have not yet been disclosed.
