Google has bought Measure Map, a blog stats analysis tool, from design firm Adaptive Path, the companies announced today in e-mails to clients. Jeffrey Veen, an Adaptive Path founder and Product Director for Measure Map, will join Google, along with several other members of the dev team.
Official Google Blog: By opening up the app to more bloggers through Google, we hope to help even more people become passionate about their blogs.
WebProNews: Google has to address the same issue with Measure Map that it encountered with the enthusiastic response to the release of the free version of Google Analytics – supporting the service. Measure Map appears to provide fewer stats than Google Analytics, which should mean less data to parse and store on Google’s servers.
