Eenadu Group Ties Up With Irdeto For Ani-Piracy Solutions

Televisionpoint.com: Irdeto, a global provider of digital content security software, has tied up with the Hyderabad based Eenadu group to provide antipiracy solutions to content producers and distributors in India. Eenadu group is one of South India’s largest media groups and owns Ramoji film city, besides ETV group of television channels.
Irdeto plans to initially cater to the pay media business in India, providing end-to-end solutions including both hardware and software. The firm claims that if digital piracy is curbed, increase in operators’ revenue will more than compensate for the initial investment in Irdeto’s anti-piracy solutions. If these claims are to be believed, the greatest respite would come to Bollywood, which loses hundreds of crores of potential revenue every year due to rampant content piracy.
