The Google ad juggernaut continues: it is holding special advertiser auctions for space in 28 magazines. The auction was launched Wednesday on Google and will end Feb. 20. Google said the auction is open to U.S. AdWords customers, who may bid for full-, half- and quarter-page ads in various upcoming issues of the magazines.
Participating titles include Martha Stewart Living and Martha Stewart Kids titles, Hachette Filipacchi’s Ellegirl and Car and Driver, and IDG’s Computerworld (I guess times have changed, since IDG has long viewed and publicly stated Google as its arch enemy).
Google said it will not track the performance of the ads.
Previous to this, Google has been placing ads on behalf of its advertisers in three magazines and the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper.
