Searchformedia: Senior Business Development / Content Acquisition Manager (Los Angeles/New York)

Are You an entertainment industry professional with extensive television & motion picture experience and relationships?

Searchformedia, a Seattle-based multi-media search technology company is seeking an experienced Business Development Professional with knowledge and contacts within the entertainment industry.

The company was formed in March of 2005 and launched the first product, www.searchforvideo.com in August 2005. All technology is proprietary and has five patents pending. Since launching searchforvideo there has been numerous milestones reached: over 1 million clips indexed from over 6000 sources.

Searchformedia is seeking candidates that possesses strong business development skills that will assist them in obtaining and negotiating significant and complex relationships in the area of content acquisition and multimedia search. This person will need to establish and drive senior level relationships with a range of companies holding and representing content throughout the North America and European market.
This person will be in a highly visible position and be responsible for identifying, structuring and negotiating content licensing relationships as well as acquiring and monetizing a wide range of multimedia content.

Our new team members will possess all or many of the following skills & attributes

– 6+ years of entertainment / new media related business development experience

– Must have existing contacts within entertainment industry with emphasis towards television, motion pictures and music

– Must be able to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close deals in an aggressive time-frame

– Candidate should have a demonstrated ability to manage and grow major account relationships

– In-depth knowledge of the Entertainment and Internet industries a must, preferably direct work experience in an advertising, development or e-commerce role

– Strong analytics. Must be able to manage complex deal structures with multiple variables

– Superior communication skills, including presentations, be it in person, phone, e-mail or via web demos

– Must be a team player able to share responsibility for key decision making within the team, while accepting responsibility to work remotely from your home region/office
