UK Mobile video vendor Mobix Interactive (which offered a video package for the Live8 event last year) has opened an office in Los Angeles. It will start this month with a mobile channel “dedicated to one of the world’s best-known urban lifestyle brands, set to form part of a major US network operator’s video offering”. I’d like to know exactly what this means…it sounds like a sponsored video channel, but it’s described as a “premium” product.
There’s another “branded content channel” in the works.
