RealNetworks’ board has approved a cash payments of up to $2.9 million to CEO Rob Glaser for his work leading to a settlement and collaboration agreement with Microsoft in October last year. An SEC filing said that Glaser will receive a cash payment of $1.45 million in February and two other cash payments of up to $725,000 each in July 2006 and January 2007.
In October, the two companies settled their litigation valued at about $761 million including a $460 million payment by Microsoft to RealNetworks to settle an antitrust lawsuit.
