The Media Dealmakers Summit (organized by media investment bank DeSilva & Phillips ) is happening today in NYC, at the magnificent Pierre Hotel. The keynote was by Michael Kelly, President of AOL Networks, where he talked about the general uptick in the online media industry and AOL plans. Nothing groundbreaking in the speech, but a decent overview
One of his lines I did like: “The world is changing from distributors having the world as their oyster to content owners becoming paramount…the only thing is it is becoming fuzzy who the content owners are.”
