Rediff.com’s Revenues Grow By 48 Per Cent; India Pie Almost Doubles

Press Release: Nasdaq-listed Rediff.com announced its financial results for the third fiscal quarter ended December 31, 2005. The company has continued with its turnaround trend.
Revenues for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 increased by 48 per cent to $5.02 million, as compared to $3.4 million in the same quarter last fiscal year.
Revenues from India Online, which comprised online advertising and fee-based services, increased by 82 per cent to $3.16 million compared to $1.73 million during the same quarter last fiscal year.
Revenues from US Publishing for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 increased by 12 per cent to $1.86 million from $1.67 million during the quarter ended December 31, 2004. This increase is principally due to progress with the new online offering, Rediff India Abroad, and to a lesser extent, a seasonal upswing in India Abroad print revenues.
Net Income
Net Income for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 was $323,000 or 1.23 cents per ADS, compared to a net loss of $302,000, or 1.18 cents per ADS, for the same quarter last fiscal year.
