Australian incumbent Telstra has pretty much sewn-up coverage for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Melbourne. Its partnership with NineMSN will give Telstra video content to stream to “up to six mobile phone TV channels” on its 3G network and also on the telcos BigPond broadband service…Nine has the broadcast rights while Telstra has the online and 3G rights. PayTV rights were captured by Foxtel, partly owned by Telstra. Has it left anything out?
