About the Merchandising Promotions Manager Opportunity

If you are interested in changing the way people get more done and have more fun with their mobile phones, Infospace has the job for you as the Merchandising Promotions Manager for our direct to consumer offerings.

As the Merchandising Promotions Manager you will develop product and content promotions for InfoSpace’s direct to consumer storefronts. As such you will partner closely with marketing managers, content managers and product managers to build and maintain a full promotions calendar tailored to specific audiences and affinity groups. This exciting opportunity will put you in the middle of the burgeoning mobile content industry with direct engagement with recording artist, labels and consumers who love music and video.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

– Create and run targeted content promotions designed to increase retail revenue and drive up content margin

– Own and manage the promotions programming schedule

– Work with production and licensing teams drive cool new music, video, film, television and graphics promotional programs and ideas

– Partner with site manger to properly advertise promotions and convert users to purchase promoted content. Including cross-sell and up-sell to premium content and services.

– Build content bundles and up-sell and cross-sell merchandising programs to optimize the product margin mix

– Optimize digital media merchandising to increase retail revenue

– Spearhead storefront programming for audio and graphic content

– Work with production and licensing drive new content availability and track content availability through the production process

– Communicate availability of premium content and decide how to and merchandise such content within our consumer direct channel

– Optimize content refresh cycles in all merchandising categories in media and graphics

– Work with Marketing and Promotions team to program content for promotions and key retail categories

– Monitor and analyze promotions performance including take rate, conversion numbers, margin mix and revenue to make recommendations and devise future promotions strategy

– Monitor and analyze weekly transactions in all categories and analyze transactions to optimize merchandising placements

– Build content bundles and up-sell and cross-sell merchandising programs to optimize the product margin mix

– Create compelling promotional packages that drive subscription revenue

Skills and Experience:

– Three + years of successful digital retail or music promotions experience

– Must have a strong understanding and participate in current pop culture and pop culture trends – must know music, films television and internet entertainment.

– A thorough understanding of the digital music and wireless carrier industry is preferred.

– Strong Analytical, organizational and scheduling skills

– Excellent written and oral communication abilities, including excellent presentation abilities

– Ability to successfully digest and communicate analytics

– Experience in coordinating cross team projects and managing conflicting requirements/needs

– Ability to successfully communicate internally across multiple departments

– Must be detail oriented and able to manage details while keeping an eye on the รข
