This seems like a more reasoned launched from Cingular, than the Rokr-iTunes flop. It has launched Slvr, an ultra-thin phone from Motorola loaded with iTunes from Apple. The Slvr takes its cue from Moto’s hit-selling Razr.
Motorola, which had said it was disappointed with how the Rokr phone was marketed, plans to focus more on the design than the music player in marketing the candy bar-shaped Slvr. Cingular is charging customers who sign up for a two-year contract $199.99 for the phone.
