UK broadcaster ITV, which recently bought social portal Friends Reunited, will house the acquisition under the banner of a new broadband entertainment portal that could see its entire family of channels multicast via the Internet, NMA reports.
As well as allowing users to create their own personalised ITV home page, the new portal will provide on-demand access to a range of shows broadcast on ITV1, ITV2, ITV3 and the recently launched ITV4.
It’s also considering plans to launch a broadband-only children’s channel as part of an ongoing investment in emerging digital platforms.
